ISU art faculty members exhibit work at Gallery in the Round

AMES, Iowa — A selection of current work by 14 faculty members from the Iowa State University Department of Art and Visual Culture will be on display Feb. 1 through March 6 at the Gallery in the Round, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Ames.

The "Studio Affinities" exhibition represents a wide range of creative investigations and expressions in a variety of media, said curator Chris Martin, associate professor of art and visual culture.

"The show is a testament to the quality and creative passion of the faculty, who are all active and engaged artists," Martin said.

In addition to Martin, the exhibition includes artwork by professors April Katz and Ingrid Lilligren; associate professors Barbara Caldwell, C. Arthury Croyle, Cindy Gould, Brent Holland and Joe Muench; assistant professor Christine Carr; and lecturers Dean Biechler, Nathan Edwards, Sandra Quintero, Paula Streeter and Nancy Thompson.

Gallery in the Round is located at 1015 N. Hyland Ave., Ames. Hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A closing reception will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3.
