AMES, Iowa — Iowa State University integrated visual arts graduate student Sodam Lee will present her Master of Fine Arts thesis exhibition Jan. 23-30 at the ISU Design on Main Gallery, 203 Main St. in downtown Ames.
The show will focus on a series of prints Lee, of Seoul, South Korea, has developed with the theme of "The Impact of Cultural Environment on Human Life." It will also include other work she has created during graduate study at Iowa State. She will receive her MFA degree in May.
Exhibition hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Lee will complete installation of her work during the day Jan. 23 and invites visitors to view her process. A closing reception will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
An extension of ISU's College of Design, Design on Main seeks to strengthen creative connections between the university and the community through arts education, artist-led projects and interactive events.
