Support for Your initiatives

The College of Design's Institute for Design Research and Outreach (IDRO), in conjunction with the office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development (VPR/ED), provides support for faculty research/scholarship/creative development. Linda Doering (pictured) is the secretary in the IDRO Office, Room 126 College of Design.

In addition to internal grant opportunities offered through the college and campus organizations such as the Center for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities (CEAH), consulting on proposal development, funding sources, and other topics is available to College of Design faculty.

Sandra Norvell of the ISU Grants Office holds office hours in the college every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and alternate Thursdays at the same time, in 126 Design. You can schedule appointments at other times by contacting her at snorvell@iastate.edu. Associate Dean Doug Johnston is also available to assist with idea development, methods, proposal writing, etc. Please take advantage of these resources!
