The Design Career Services Office provides career development support to students, alumni and academic programs of the College of Design. The emphasis is on the individual's personal quest for career success, utilizing internships as a vehicle for career development, and providing career-related educational programming. Career Services also coordinates employment opportunities available to design students, graduates and alumni through Iowa State University's Career Management Service.

Services available to students and alumni include assistance with job search materials such as resumes or cover letters, job or internship search strategies, interviewing skills, and salary information. DSN S 397, an internship search seminar, is offered each fall. Career Days, an event including a career expo and interview sessions, is held each spring.

Design Career Services also conducts an annual survey of graduates regarding employment, continuing education and salary. Information is collected each fall for the previous academic cycle (fall, spring, summer) and reported each spring. View statistics.
